When Reggie Stevens enters high school, life as he knows it is about to change. First, he must deal with a bully that is out to seek revenge against a member of his family. Then there is the uncle and cousin who move in with him upon the death of a close relative. Add to that a budding romance with the girl next door and what you have is a young man with several opportunities to go left as oppose to go right. As he gets adjusted to his "new" surroundings, Reggie finds out that everything in his life is not as it appears to be. And his only escape is in his passion for music. As he teaches himself how to play various instruments, he finds a means to get away from it all.
